Hand-dyed, pre-wound weaving warp, rayon krinkle, 10 1/4 yards, 140 ends, in shades of black, grey, blue, white, and a bit of pink - DW220

This warp is wound and ready to go on the loom. I dyed the warp after winding it. The colors are black, charcoal, steel blue, light blue, a small amount of pink, and white. With the way that I dye my warps the colors do not generally occur across the entire warp. You may get some of the appearance of a shifted warp without any shifting, can also have some of the appearance of a painted warp. The color changes are organic and flowing. The placement of colors just happen where they will, there is no planning. This means that each warp is different and the way that the colors change will be different thru out the warp. This warp is a rayon krinkle, with approximately 1420 yards per pound and 20 wraps per inch. There are 140 ends and it is 10 1/4 yards long. The cross is tied and there are choke ties near each end and a tie in the loops at each end.

I use color-fast dyes and wash and rinse many times. As with anything dyed, there could still be some excess dye, especially with dark or bright colors. I recommend washing in cold water and using a color catcher as needed.

These warps were dyed together so the colors are the same, but the placement of the colors will be different. I do my best to describe the colors in each warp and to get the best pictures, but I can only describe the main colors. There may be some bits of other colors as the colors mix. Warps may be woven as is or you may add to a warp. You can add a solid color as a stripe, as every other thread, as every 2nd or 3rd or any other number, either to change the look or simply to make the warp wider. You can also combine multiple warps together or you could also split a warp and save part to use another time. The length given is what it measures after dyeing and drying, I round down to the nearest 1/8 of a yard.
