This warp is wound and ready to go on the loom. I hand-dyed the warp after winding it. The colors are shades of blues, light blue, charcoal, red brown, brown, olive brown, and golden brown. With the way that I dyed my warps the colors do not generally occur across the entire warp, The colors are more in areas than in bands or stripes. You may get some of the appearance of a shifted warp without shifting, can also have the appearance of a painted warp, and the way that the colors change will be similar to color pooling on a small scale. The color changes are organic and flowing. The placement of colors just happen where they will, there is no planning. This means that each warp is different and the way that the colors change will be different thru out the warp. Look at listing of my scarves for examples. Color #DW309.

This warp is 8/2 ring spun cotton, with approximately 3360 yards per pound and 28 wraps per inch. There are chains of 400, 300, 200, 100, and 50 ends and they are 5 7/8 yards long. The cross is tied and there are choke ties near each end and a tie in the loop at each end. I try and catch all knots but since I might miss one, I try to include at least two extra warp threads. I recommend saving them for repair threads as needed.

I use PRO MX fiber reactive dyes and wash and rinse many times until the water runs clear. As with anything dyed, there could still be some excess dye especially with dark or bright colors. I recommend using a color catcher as needed.

I am dyeing multiple warps together with the same colors but each warp will be different as far as the placement and amount of each color, so each warp is one of a kind. I do my best to describe the colors in each warp and to get the best pictures, but I can only describe the main colors. There may be some bits of other colors as the colors mix. Fell free to contact me for more info if needed.

Warps may be woven as is or you may add to a warp. You can add a solid color as a stripe, as every other thread, as every 2nd or 3rd or any other number, either to change the look or simply to make the warp wider. You can also combine multiple warps together or you can also split a warp and save part to use another time. The length given is what it measures after dyeing and drying. I round down to the nearest 1/8 of a yard.
